Synopsis
After a family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return to Winter River
Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her teenage daughter Astrid accidentally opens the portal to the afterlife. Jenna Ortega, Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux and Monica Bellucci share why filming Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice was an experience they’ll never forget. Tim Burton has said that this film would only get made if Michael Keaton returned to reprise his role.

Keaton said in March 2014 that this was the only sequel he was interested in. Lydia informs Astrid that Rory wants to get married at midnight on Halloween night. Then it would be November 1st, as midnight is the start of a new day and thus no longer Halloween..
I really did not enjoy the film

I did not feel connected to the new characters
There was not enough of Beetlejuice, the human side of the drama was monotonous. The charm of the first part was Beetlejuice tormenting the Dietz family. There really was not enough of that in this film.
I just couldn’t capture the essence of it
Overall, I am being very generous with the rating of 6 out of 10, I could have given even less. No real major complaints regarding the acting, but it just lacked the magic of the first film. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can definitely wait until it’s available on streaming.
