Synopsis
A family is invited to spend an entire weekend at a lonely house in the countryside, but as the weekend progresses, they realize that there is a dark side within the family that invited them. Blumhouse Productions has been a major force in the horror genre since 2007’s Paranormal Activity became a worldwide sensation. The story is inspired by the experiences of Christian Tafdrup, director of the Danish original Speak No Evil (2022), who had befriended a Dutch couple while on vacation in Tuscany with his wife. Although the Dutch people were a bit socially awkward, both couples got along very well, and after returning home, Tafdrup received an invitation from the Dutch family to come to the Netherlands.
Ben Dalton: Why are you doing this to us?
He briefly considered it, but decided that it would feel weird staying with people he didn’t really know – he decided to stay with them for a while. Her story for the film came about when she gave free rein to her darkest fantasies about what might have happened, had she agreed (while maintaining that the original Dutch couple had never given off bad vibes). In this remake, the nationalities of the two families have been changed to American and British. In the bathroom, when she is washing her eye, she has a subconjunctival hemorrhage in her left eye, in her next scene, her eyes are perfectly clear.

What’s up with the 1 stars? If you actually give 1 star, you’re not serious about giving reviews, and you’re just a hater.
McAvoy simply outshines everyone else in this movie
The movie kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire movie, it’s not your typical thriller to begin with, and the suspense was very well built, and kept me interested throughout. Unfortunately, the characters in the movie do a lot of illogical things that you bang your head over. But it actually surprised me a lot, and I think this surpasses the original in every way, both cinematically and actor-wise. McAvoy’s phenomenal portrayal of a creepy psychopath is astounding, and makes you want to hide in your seat.
